Ultrasonic Flow Meter

 

 

Ultrasonic flow meter is famous for its unique clamp-on installing way for flow measurement.Ultrasonic flow meter is volumetric flow meter.

 

Ultrasonic flow meter is mainly comprised of two parts:main converter and flow transducers. And flow transducer mainly includes clamp-on type,insertion type and inline type.  

 

As principle or technology,ultrasonic flow meter mainly has two kinds: one is doppler ultrasonic flow meter,and the other is transit-time ultrasonic flow meter,which means the former uses doppler principle and the latter uses transit-time technology.

 

As flow meter type,ultrasonic flow meter is mainly divided into: portable ultrasonic flow meter and fixed ultrasonic flow meter. Portable ultrasonic flow meter usually includes standard portable ultrasonic flow meter and handheld ultrasonic flow meter and fixed ultrasonic flow meters usually include wall mounted ultrasonic flow meter,low cost ultrasonic flow meter,clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter,insertion ultrasonic flow meter,inline flange ultrasonic flow meter,small ultrasonic flow meter,desktop ultrasonic flow meter,etc.

 

As power supply way, there are mainly two kinds:battery powered ultrasonic flow meter and main powered ultrasonic flow meter. Battery powered ultrasonic flow meter also includes solar powered way.Main powered mainly includes DC and AC power.

 

Some features of ultrasonic flow meter: wide flow range,wide velocity range,no cutting part,no moving parts,low velocity startup,low power consumption.

 

Based on ultrasonic flow meter,ultrasonic water meter and ultrasonic heat meter have been developed and widely used.

 

As different medium,ultrasonic flow meter can be used for gas flow measurement and liquid flow measurement.
